PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER
Psychological Thriller is a subgenre, frequently overlaps with the related of the psychological thriller, and it often uses mystery elements and characters with unstable or distributed psychological states to enhance the suspense, drama, action and paranoia of the setting and plot and to provide an overall unpleasant, unsettling or distressing atmosphere.
They more usually are known as a Sub-genre to a broad range of other genres. It's more about the sort of fear human psychology can create for others. So in a sense, it does the opposite of psychological horror.
Psychological Thriller focuses heavily on the unstable emotional states of characters, in combination with mystery. It often incorporates elements from the mystery and drama genre, along with the typical traits of the Thriller genre. most and many contain elements of, and often overlap with the Horror genre
Not to be confused with psychological horror, which involves more terror than psychosomatic themes.
